Catherine Elgie Peters is a Certified Banting Coach (CBC) who is helping Real Meal Revolution change the world, by helping you to change your life.

Catherine is passionate about the Banting lifestyle and has been trained by Real Meal Revolution to become a CBC. Catherine is equipped with the necessary skills and tools to be able to encourage and inspire others with her own Banting journey.

Catherine offers up the following “banter” on her personal journey:

“Real Story:”

Whilst doing research on LCHF I stumbled across RMR’s red book and was thrilled to find a South African book encouraging this way of life and eating. My copy of RMR arrived on the 20th Dec 2013. I began cutting out all sugar from my diet and the resulting lack of hunger and stabilizing of my blood sugar levels made me realize there was something very beneficial to this way of eating. For the first time in my life, I was not hungry. I let go of the control that food had over me for nearly 42 years. I couldn’t remember a day in my life where I had not felt guilty about eating.

Each year up until 2014, I had failed at achieving my New Year’s resolution of losing weight. For the first time in my life after reading the RMR and other resources, Banting made sense and gave me hope. It wasn’t easy as I was the first one in my household to start. After a while, I got my partner on board. We are still a work in progress as far as losing weight goes, but the benefits of controlling sugar levels for us have been life changing.

“Real Influence:”

My goal and unique approach to supporting my Real Groups on the Banting Lifestyle is to give people hope that the misery associated with being overweight and being unhealthy can end.

Every member of my Real groups will be treated as an individual whilst still feeling part of a team. Each individual will have a different history associated with food and weight and after taking the time to get to know each person, I will be able to encourage and motivate them in the way that they need, to get the results that they desire.

I want the members of my Real Groups to experience the joy of Real good food and improved health.

Real Groups are Banting Support Groups that are available as both Online and Face-to-Face Groups. These groups provide members with the opportunity to get “more Bant for their buck” through coaching from skilled CBCs and support from fellow Banters.

Catherine takes a dualistic approach to dealing both individually with her “Real Group” members as well as guiding the group as a whole. This will assist members in taking individual responsibility for their goals, as well as getting the support they need to achieve these goals.
